WHERE WILL YOU SPEND YOUR ETERNITY?
There is the story of a professor who went for a walk in the countryside and lost his way. He came to a crossroads where he met a little boy walking with his dog. “Son, where does that road lead to?” he asked. “I don’t know.” “Where does this road go?” “I don’t know.” “And that one?” “I don’t know.” “And this?” “I don’t know.” “You stupid boy, you don’t know anything!” exclaimed the man. “Well,” said the boy, “One thing I know. I’m not lost like you are!”
Friend, there’s an eternity kept before you. You are heading for eternal life or eternal damnation one or the other. “The hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His (Jesus’) voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation,” says the Bible (John 5:28,29). Do you know where you are going? Do you know where you are going to spend your eternity? Like that professor, you may know many things in this life, you may know many things about this life; but all the same, you may not know where you are heading for in the life after death.
We cannot evade the after-life; but we can choose the place we will go to there. The Lord says, “I have set before you life and death… therefore CHOOSE LIFE” (Deuteronomy 30:19).
Now, here’s how you can find your location, and your direction in case you want to change your destination.
One of the two main regions in the world beyond the grave is Heaven or the Kingdom of God. It’s a land of light and beauty, a land of perfect peace and joy. It’s a life of living in the presence of the Lord and enjoying all the delights He has for us. The common man cannot know all about it, for, the Bible says, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God bath prepared for them that love Him” (I Corinthians 2:9). Who then can know the secrets of God’s Kingdom? “Lord of heaven and earth…Thou hast hid these   things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes,” says God’s Word (Matthew 11:25). And it’s these “babes” who can enter into the Kingdom of God (Matthew 18:3). So dear friend, if you will come down from your high and mighty disposition and humbly turn to the Lord Jesus, you shall see what great things are kept for you in Eternity; the Lord will also show you the way to that place.
The other place in Eternity is Hell. It’s a place of darkness and sorrow where those who reject the Lord Jesus will be tormented for ever and ever. This place was prepared for the devil and his angels by their own character; their wickedness is what makes up “hell-fire” (Matthew 25:41). Man too ends up there with the devil, when he chooses to follow the devil, when he walks “according to the prince of the power of the air… fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind” (Ephesians 2:2, 3). “His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins” (Proverbs 5:22). Hell is also known as “Death” (Revelation 21:8) it is the “wages” which sin pays you (Romans 6:23). Being carnally minded is “death” (Romans 8:6); living in sinful pleasures is “death” (I Timothy 5:6) you are being, little by little, swallowed up by Death!
The Lord Jesus came down and shed His blood for us so that those who believe in Him and accept Him may escape this place of eternal agony, and have eternal life. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). “He that believeth on the Son (Jesus) hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him”(John 3:36).
Dear reader, do stop in your tracks. Ask yourself: “Where am I going? Which place will I reach after death?” Make sure today you are travelling in the right direction.
PRAYER: Dear Lord Jesus, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart. Wash away all my sins and make me worthy of Heaven (Eternal Life). Amen.
A SPECIAL NOTE: There are many regions in the Eternal Kingdom of God differing in glory and in beauty.

You have to choose Heaven or hell
Which will you choose? Where will you spend your eternity?

Before making your decision, please consider the following truths:
  1. Every person has an appointment with death and with God. “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” Hebrews 9:27
  2. Every person is born a sinner, born in sin, inherited from the first man, Adam, who sinned against God. “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity: and in sin did my mother conceive me.” Psalm 51:5
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Romans 5:12
  1. Therefore, man is a SLAVE of the devil because of his sins. “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin…Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.” John 8:34,44
  2. NO MAN CAN ESCAPE by using good works, oaths, promises, or using philosophies or religions of the world made by man. He is a slave, and cannot redeem himself. “None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him. For the redemption of their soul is precious.” Psalm 49:7,8
  3. The final judgment of God will be ETERNAL PUNISHMENT for all sinners in the lake of fire: because God is holy and nobody and nothing unclean can abide in His presence. “For the wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23
Although all people are sinners and slaves of the devil, God in His incomparable love has made an escape for all that choose to believe and trust in the following way:
  1. Realize that you are a sinner and REPENT leaving your sins and confessing them to Jesus. “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.” Acts 3:19
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
  1. Believe in the Gospel for your salvation calling on the name of Jesus Christ.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
  1. Be baptized in water, because although all your sins are forgiven when you believe, still the NATURE of SIN the “old man” has to die and be buried so that you live A COMPLETELY NEW LIFE. “Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death.” Romans 6:4
  2. After that, you can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit (with evidence of speaking in new tongues). As you were strengthened by the devil to serve him in sin, so God will strengthen you through the Holy Spirit to serve Him in righteousness and holiness.
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…” Acts 1:8

The decision is yours
HELL:
I choose to continue serving the devil in my sins
I reject the love of God and the redemption that He has provided for me.
I have determined, therefore, to stay for all eternity in hell without escape
“Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” Matthew 25:41
HEAVEN:
I choose to escape the devil’s slavery and the devil, believing in the redemption that God has provided for me which is only in the Lord Jesus Christ
I want to obey and serve a holy God in righteousness.
I have determined, according to God’s promise, to stay for all eternity with God in His holy city.
“Well done, good and faithful servant…enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” Matthew 25:23

Parable of the kingdom

“..,   The kingdom of heaven  is like a net   that was let down  into the lake and  caught all kinds of fish.
When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat  down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.
This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and  gnashing of teeth.
“Have you understood all these things?” Jesus asked. “…” … Matthew 13: 47-51

“WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?” Acts 16: 30
  1. REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL
“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God is near.  Repent and believe the good news!” Mark 1: 15
  1. BELIEVE IN JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.  John 1: 12
  1. CONFESS YOUR SINS TO JESUS
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1: 9
  1. RECEIVE THE BAPTISM OF WATER AND HOLY SPIRIT
“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ  for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the  Holy Ghost.” Acts 2 : 38
  1. LIVE THE GOSPEL
Keep my commands and you will live; … Proverbs 7: 2
